YOUR TRANSFIGURATION IN CHRIST

THEDECEIVED55

‘And we all, who with unveiled faces contemplate the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his image with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit’ 2 Cor 3.18 NIV.

The replication of Christ in us comes from incarnation – known as ‘oneness’. The path is not to do something. It is to allow Him to be … us.

REVEALED

As God is unveiled and His glory revealed our own glory as sons is proclaimed and demonstrated as we live in The Mirror of ourselves – the Son of Man. It has been said that there are two kinds of people about. Those who join the dots and those who refuse to. Revelation and wisdom are the companions of the right dividers of the word of truth. A fumbling and muffled life is the result of living in religion.

To be careless about the truth is to be careless about life and be accommodating with death.

Truth liberates. It sets us free from general myths, specific lies and false narratives about God. Truth propels us into who we are and what we ae becoming through Jesus. Every false narrative is a re-hash of the fall and a variation of the bevy of lies that insinuate that Father is less than He appears and that we are less than we actually are - sons and daughters of God. Any Gospel that begins with Christ and ends with the law is not Christian and is actually a life. The alpha of your life is Christ and the omega is your life in Christ as a son/daughter of God.

You have an identity in God that trumps any partisan identity that captures us in a new lie and in resulting smallness.

TARES

Today revisionist insinuations manifest through the thoughts of men and women and are eventually taught as sound doctrine. But their source is the father of lies. Paul is not hampered by any limitation on the truth such ‘not confronting people’. Paul confronts dead people with Christ their life. Paul states plainly that such is revisionisms are doctrines of demons.

The gospel of the Kingdom, the good news and the truth of God is that God in Christ has undone the fall. The cross and resurrection undid the fall. We have our pre-fall union with God back and better than what we had before. We are woven together with God. Father and the sons and daughters of men are interwoven to the extent that we and our Father are one. ‘On that day you will realize that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you’ John 14.20.

So what is Satan’s plan? Satan attempts to undermine this resurrection and our installation as sons. His strategy is to have us adopt forms of Christianity that deny and suffocate the union with God that we already possess. By producing tares his aim is to perpetuate the fall forever.

GRACE WITH TRUTH

We can be lovely Christians yet live in a version of truth that limits our being. During my reading last year an author brought to my attention the fact that people can ‘love Jesus’ yet worship a grossly distorted Christ – one who is the product of their own fears, poor Christian teaching and the propaganda of the Enemy. I had wondered about this. I had observed people whose gospel was not the gospel of Christ but who were kind and gracious human beings. Yet they were living in a diminished spirit of sonship.

Sadly, much of the spirit and life of Jesus was suffocated in their experience because they were captured in the old covenant. We really do cripple ourselves when we are careless about the truth. The benefit of having a Jesus centered life is that He reveals Himself to us AS HE IS. “I Am” will not allow us to continue in misinformation about the ‘who’ of Himself because this cripples our being, slanders Him and grossly distorts what was meant to be the triumphant advance of the Kingdom of God.

HOLLOW MEN

Satan’s ploy in hindering the Kingdom of God is to produce communities of kings who are not kings in spirit and in truth. These are people who live in the illusion of being the Body of Christ when they are the body of death.

We endanger our salvation and inhibit the advance of the Kingdom when we attach ourselves to gospels that are no gospel at all because they are a continuation of the fall. In an old covenant law-based gospel, the fall is not undone. Rather it is perpetuated through misinformation or a stubborn attachment to an imagined identity that runs counter to the doctrine of Jesus and the apostles.

WORTHY OF ME

‘Anyone who loves their father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; anyone who loves their son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me’ Matt 10.37 NIV. This is not just about blood relatives. It’s about cultural families. Jesus does not reject us because we stubbornly choose error. But He is saying that in such a mindset He is unable to impart to us all of Himself and elevate us to our full worthiness as sons and daughters.

We can have an identity in the community of belief to which we are attached. This identity may be what we think is our life. But this delusion is more important to us than the truth that is Christ our life. This identity is our ‘other husband’ and our idol. It’s a stronghold that undoes our setting free at the hand of Jesus.

RELIGION OF FICTIONS

These strongholds generate fictions that insinuate and perpetuate the seeming legitimacy of the fabric of lies in which we have become embedded. Together they form what Paul called ‘another gospel’ and a culturally supported lie. Not only do we become dulled in our being. We refuse to examine our beliefs as a result of habitually refusing to see and to hear.

We can curse ourselves by insisting on a private gospel. ‘But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach a gospel other than the one we preached to you, let them be under God's curse!’ Gal 1.8 NIV.

PARODIES OF TRUTH

The nature of this curse is that we subject our dogmatics to no real scrutiny and continue as though we have no real responsibility to live in the truth. Some give their lives as advocates of these convoluted parodies of truth. We may have persuaded ourselves that our truth is as legitimate as any other church’s construction of its doctrine. But it is not. Why? Our perspective is more than a variation on some inconsequential piece of religion. It is ‘another gospel’ and another salvation.

CONTEMPOARY PARABLE

I found an entry in The Age that expertly describes this state of affairs. I mean a disinterest in facts that demolish falsehood and a penchant for intellectual fictions that hide the truth and provide a stronghold for errors and doctrines of demons. Here is it is:

“Donald Trump’s press conference with Theresa May was another demonstration of his White Queen tendencies. He has no time for facts.”

There are Christians like this. So addicted and reliant are they on their man-made identity and its perspectives that they have no time for the facts of the new covenant and no interest in leaving behind mindsets and positions that imprison them in the fall.

Yet we can choose to be the sons and daughters of the free woman.

‘But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son. Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman’ Gal 4.30,31.
